The Fourth World Conference on Women, also known as the Beijing Conference, was held in September 1995, gathering participants from 191 countries and about 30,000 people for the NGO Forum.
Two resolutions, namely the Beijing Declaration and the Beijing Platform for Action, were adopted at the Conference in order to promote gender equality and women's full participation in all spheres of society on the basis of equality.
In commemoration of fifteen years of the Conference, posters and photographs from the Fourth World Conference on Women Collection at the Women's Archives Center at National Women's Education Center are exhibited with introductory panels of the Women's Archives Center.
