The Fifth East Asia Gender Equality Ministerial Meeting(15-16 May 2013 in Beijing, China)

On the 15th (Wednesday) and the 16th (Thursday) of May 2013, Mr. Atsuhiko Beppu, Deputy Director General for Gender Equality Bureau, Cabinet Office on behalf of Ms. Masako Mori, Minister of State for Gender Equality, attended the Fifth East Asia Gender Equality Ministerial Meeting, where he delivered speech at each session about three themes of the meeting.

"Gender Mainstreaming-Achirvements and Challenges, " "Eradication of Violence against Women," and "Elimination of Gender Discrimination in Employment"

The following 13 countries have participated in the Meeting: Brunei Darussalam, Kingdom of Cambodia, Republic of Indonesia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Republic of the Philippines, Republic of Singapore, Kingdom of Thailand, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam,Australia, People's Republic of China, Japan and Republic of Korea.
